The demand of high-performing batteries is rising. Currently, battery production in Europe is unable to meet the needs of automotive manufacturers and other large-scale industries. Addressing the inefficiencies of traditional battery production, the DigiCell project aims to transform battery manufacturing by integrating advanced AI-driven modelling, real-time digital twins, and nanoscale material characterisation.
By simulating battery behaviour under various conditions and correlating performance with material properties, DigiCell enhances the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of battery production processes – ultimately contributing to a greener future by supporting the transition to renewable energy sources and the electrification of transportation.
